Spring Banquet 2019 | Events
Every year, Florida College puts on both a fall and spring banquet for their students. The fall banquet is typically held in the gymnasium and is more casual, and the location of the spring banquet is always a surprise until about a week before. For spring banquet, the girls get dressed up in long fancy dresses and the guys wear suits and ties. We get some of the best food, some great entertainment, and then we go out and explore the town for the rest of the evening.
This year was my fourth and final spring banquet, and I always take the photos for my friend group. This is one of my favorite evenings of the year. Dressing up in a formal gown and getting a fancy meal can definitely make you feel like royalty. This particular banquet was held at the Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, Florida and was by far the best banquet I've attended. After some of the best chicken I've ever tasted and chocolate cake richer than Bill Gates, we watched a performance by Cody Fry. We ended the night at Disney Springs for coffee, tea, shopping, and twirling under the twinkle lights. Capturing memories like this for my own friends and myself is probably the best part about being a photographer. These photos are always group favorites and we've even created traditions of certain silly photos that have to be taken each year!
